H piles are manufactured from high-strength steel, typically 36 ksi (510 MPa) or 50 ksi (690 MPa). However, for projects demanding even greater support, steel with higher yield strengths can be employed. The production process involves rolling the molten steel into the desired H-shaped profile. These piles come in various sizes, with lengths ranging from a few feet to over 60 feet, depending on the specific application. Common dimensions range from 8 inches to 18 inches square, with 8 to 14 inches being the most frequently used sizes.
